The third event in the Chamber's Biofuels Dialogue Series will focus on international trade in biofuels and the necessary steps to facilitate the creation of a global commodity market.
The conference panels will address topics such as:
Outlook for a Global Biofuels Market
- This panel discussion will provide an overview of the development of biofuels markets and the driving factors in those markets today and in the years to come.
Building the Foundations for Trade: Biofuels Standards, Futures and Options Markets, and the WTO
- Our second panel discussion will bring together specialists to discuss the progress being made in laying the foundations for a fluid global commodity market in biofuels, as well as the challenges that remain.
Biofuels in the Western Hemisphere: Growth and Development through Regional Cooperation
- This panel will focus on the potential for biofuels production and trade in the Western Hemisphere. Panelists from the government and NGOs will discuss work being conducted to help promote biofuels production in the region. Meanwhile, representatives from the private sector will discuss the outlook for private investment and the medium term outlook for biofuels trade within the region.
Global Perspectives: International Drivers for Biofuels Production and Trade
- This panel will gather international perspectives from beyond the western hemisphere for a discussion of the outlook for biofuels production and policies to promote sustainable growth and trade.
